GalaxEye Space, a startup in the field of space technology, has entered into an agreement with Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) to develop a multi-sensor fusion processing system for small satellites.
These satellites will have the ability to carry several payloads weighing up to 150 kg, specifically for the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The cutting-edge technology will process data from synthetic aperture radar (SAR), earth observation (EO), infrared, and hyperspectral sensors before sending it to ground stations.

The technology’s objective is to effectively manage the substantial amounts of data produced by low earth orbit (LEO) imaging satellites while meeting stringent power, size, and weight limitations, and guaranteeing dependable performance in the challenging space environment.
GalaxEye offers a range of satellite-based multi-sensor images, which allows for the collection of valuable insights through the acquisition of imaging data from space. GalaxEye offers uninterrupted imaging in any weather conditions, free from any atmospheric disruptions. The firm utilizes advanced technology that allows it to produce photographs of exceptionally high resolution by means of a compact satellite constellation.
Meanwhile, iDEX, an organization operating within the Ministry of Defence, is responsible for establishing and overseeing the iDEX network, which consists of autonomous defense innovation hubs.
