Gurugram-based Exprto was founded in 2021 by Varun Richharia and Rajan Chaudhary, It positions itself as an experience-sharing and mentoring network for students. It provides mentorship services that vary in duration between 1 to 12 months.
Based on the stage of preparation in which aspirants are interested, each service is personalized using proprietary Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning profile-matching technology.
Varun Richharia, co-founder of Exprto, said the edtech start-up is chasing the opportunity of big white space which remains untapped in India.
"The total market opportunity for ‘Mentorship as a Service’ (MAAS) in India alone is $11 billion, with $6 billion in the test prep segment only. That’s where we will create coalescence and a massive success network within the Indian student community," he said.
He added that Exprto's growth is built on the belief that every mentor’s voice can transform and accelerate people’s careers, and our platform provides them with an entirely new, accessible and engaging way to do so.
The startup’s platform currently has over 1,100 mentors from top Indian colleges. It also plans to add more than 10,000 new consultants and expand to other major competitive exam segments in India in the coming months.
“GSF is delighted to back Exprto, a fast-growing mentoring platform. Its unique business model of ‘MaaS – mentoring as a service’ is well-suited to meet the requirements of millions of aspirational students. Besides, Exprto’s founders, Varun and Rajan, are exceptional leaders and have a deep commitment committed to building a sustainable and innovative edtech platform”, said, Rajesh Sawhney, Founder and CEO of GSF.
“Exprto distinguishes itself from other edtech companies by focusing solely on an underserved market: providing high-quality mentorship to students, which is required by four out of every five students in India”, said, Dhianu Das, co-founder of Agility Ventures.
