The Proximus Group, which is the parent company of Route Mobile, a communications services provider in India, has entered into a five-year strategic relationship with Microsoft.
The aim of this partnership is to improve their digital services for clients in Belgium and worldwide.
The cooperation centers around three primary domains: collaboration in communication-platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) and digital identification (DI), strategic transformation to the cloud, and improved go-to-market strategies for Proximus.

Microsoft will support Proximus in enhancing its role as a reseller of Microsoft goods, thereby bolstering Proximus’ market position in Belgium.
Proximus Group purchased Route Mobile in July 2023. Proximus acquired a majority ownership of 57.56% in Route Mobile for Rs 5,924.4 crore ($709.65 million) and successfully finalized the transaction after obtaining regulatory approvals, thereby increasing its overall stake to 82.70%.

This includes Route Mobile’s CPaaS offerings. Proximus will also benefit from Microsoft’s Azure Cloud, leveraging innovative AI and data evolutions,”
