Suven Pharmaceuticals has reached a deal to purchase an all-cash investment in Sapala Organics for Rs 229.5 crore, which equates to 51% of the company’s common capital.
Suven, a contract development and production company for pharmaceutical corporations, intends to purchase all of Sapala’s shares after FY27 and work with other selling owners to jointly run Sapala’s operations for the following few years.

Dr. P Yella Reddy, who has conducted substantial research in nucleic acid chemistry, is the leader of Sapala. In addition to serving as the company’s CEO, he will be a strategic advisor for the Japanese market on the Suven+Chance platform.
Nucleic acid building blocks and oligo medicines are the main areas of focus for Sapala Organics. it had adjusted EBITDA of about 45% and sales of Rs 67 crore in FY24.
The 100% acquisition after FY27 is contingent upon Sapals’s financial success over the following three years and is anticipated to be valued between 13 and 15 times EBITDA.

With this acquisition, we now have multiple differentiated technology platforms such as ADCs and Oligos amongst others,”
