In a fundraising round headed by BC Jindal Group, the snack brand Farmley secured $6.7 million, or roughly Rs 56 crore. In addition to new investors, the investment round included DSG Consumer Partners, Omnivore, and Alkemi Partners.
The capital raised, according to Farmley cofounder Akash Sharma, will go towards brand development, supply chain expansion, and innovation.
“These funds will play a pivotal role in fuelling our product innovation efforts, in diversifying distribution channels and in amplifying the brand-building efforts. We would like to make people’s snacking experiences more wholesome by operating on consumer first principles,” Farmley cofounder Akash Sharma said.
Rahul Dravid, a former captain and coach of the Indian cricket team, just joined the brand as a brand ambassador.
Farmley offers more than 100 goods, such as trail blends natural desserts made from dry fruits, and everyday dry-fruit basics, as reported by ET.
