January 2025 Funding Recap: Top Investments Across Sectors

The first month of 2025 saw strong investor interest across various industries, with around $1.5 billion in funding in different rounds. HealthTech, Biotech, FinTech, AI and other sectors attracted the most capital as companies continued to innovate and expand.

This article highlights the top companies that secured funding in January 2025 and how they plan to use it for growth.

Top funding of the month:

Innovaccer-

Healthcare-focused software-as-a-service (SaaS) firm Innovaccer raised $275 million in a funding round, comprising both primary and secondary components, with participation from different investors.


Apart from this, different companies like Infra.Market, Netradyne, leap, wework india, Nazara technologies, Fogtale and Botanic Healthcare are the companies that received the most funding this month.

Infra.Market

Infra.Market, a platform offering construction products and services, is raising Rs 1,049 crore (about $125 million) in its Series F funding round. 

Neuberg Diagnostics

Kotak Strategic Situations India Fund II, managed by Kotak Alternate Asset Managers, has invested Rs 940 Crore ($109.5 million) in Neuberg Diagnostics to help with its expansion plans.

Netradyne- 

Netradyne, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup has raised 90 million in a Series D funding round led by Point72 Private Investments, along with participation from Pavilion Capital and Qualcomm Ventures.

Leap

Leap, a platform for students studying abroad, has raised $65 million in a funding round led by Apis Partners, a London-based private equity fund.

According to the company, about 80% of the capital raised in this round comes from new investors, including Apis Growth Markets Fund III and Apis Global Growth Fund III.

Nazara Technologies 

Online gaming firm Nazara Technologies has raised Rs 495 crore (nearly $60 million), led by Axana Estates LLP- whose designated partners include Arpit Khandelwal- founder and managing partner of Plutus Wealth Management LLP and Mithun Sacheti- founder of Caratlane.

Oyo

Oyo, a top hospitality company, has raised ₹550 crore ($65 million) from Redsprig Innovation Partners, owned by its founder, Ritesh Agarwal. This funding will help Oyo boost its operations and support its international expansion.

WeWork India

WeWork India, a flexible workspace operator in India, has raised Rs 500 crore (around $57.8 million) via a rights issue from Embassy Group and WeWork Global.

Namdev Finvest

MSME lender Namdev Finvest Pvt. Ltd. has raised $38 million in debt to expand its loan book from Developing World Markets (DWM), Swiss microfinance fund manager BlueOrchard, and US-based climate-focused fund Mirova.

Foxtale-

Foxtale, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) skincare brand Foxtale has raised $30 million (around Rs 250 crore) in its series C funding round led by Japanese beauty products company Kose Corporation.

Infinity Fincorp-

Infinity Fincorp, a non-banking finance company (NBFC), has raised $15 million (around Rs 130 crore) in funding. This includes a $10 million equity investment from Jungle Ventures and $5 million from Archerman Capital.

Arya.ag- 

Arya.ag, an agritech and lending platform has raised Rs 250 crore ($30 million) debt facility in collaboration with HSBC and GuarantCo, a financial institution under the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG).

Laxmi Dental- 

Laxmi Dental, a dental products maker, has raised Rs 314.1 crore from institutional investors through its anchor book before its Rs 698-crore IPO. 

Botanic Healthcare-

Botanic Healthcare Pvt. Ltd, a manufacturer of botanical extracts, has raised  Rs 250 crore first private equity funding from mid-market PE firm Stakeboat Capital and Abakkus Asset Manager Pvt. Ltd. 

Captain Fresh-

Captain Fresh, an online meat and seafood supplier based in Bengaluru, has raised Rs 250 crore in a funding round before its planned initial public offering (IPO). Current investors, Prosus Ventures, Accel and Tiger Global Management led the round.

SuperOps -

SuperOps, an AI-powered managed service provider (MSP) startup, has raised $25 million in a Series C funding round led by March Capital.The round also saw participation from Lee Fixel’s Addition and Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India).

Atomicwork-

Atomicwork, a provider of agentic service management solutions for enterprise IT, has raised $25 million in a Series A funding round led by Silicon Valley-based Khosla Ventures and Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India).

Ecozen-

Climate-focused deep tech startup Ecozen has raised over $23 million in debt funding from a group of prominent investors, including responsAbility Investments AG, Northern Arc Capital Limited, Maanaveeya Development & Finance Private Limited and others. 

Euler Motors

Commercial electric vehicle (EV) maker Euler Motors has raised $20 million in debt from responsAbility Investments AG to increase production, expand its distribution networks and improve research and development.

Ati Motors

Ati Motors, a company focused on AI and self-driving robots, has secured $20 million in Series B funding round led by Walden Catalyst Ventures.
