Ati Motors, a company focused on AI and self-driving robots, has secured $20 million in Series B funding round led by Walden Catalyst Ventures.
The round also saw participation from NGP Capital, with support from True Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners and Blume Ventures.
The company plans to use the funds to speed up the development and use of its robots, using a large and varied factory dataset for self-driving.
The proceeds will also help with product development, growing its presence in North America and APAC and strengthening its role in industrial automation.

The company aims to take advantage of the growing demand for local manufacturing in the U.S., India and Southeast Asia, as countries try to reduce their reliance on China.
Saurabh Chandra, founder and chief executive officer of Ati Motors, said “With the growing robot fleet, we are focused on improving their management and orchestration on the software side. Recently, one of the major European truck manufacturers adopted our fleet management software to oversee all robots in its factory. We are now capable of managing multi-vendor robots in our software workflows.”
“This funding will accelerate our ability to leverage our extensive real-world dataset to develop next-generation AI models and further advance our industrial autonomy platform. The rapid growth we’re experiencing validates our approach of focusing on manufacturingas a vertical and conceptualising these robots as purpose-built self-driving vehicles,” he added.
Shankar Chandran, partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures, said, “ Ati Motors’ unique combination of advanced AI capabilities and robotics, along with a deep understanding of manufacturing environments, positions them perfectly to lead the next wave of industrial automation.
Upal Basu, partner at NGP Capital, said, “The company’s ability to successfully deploy fully autonomous mobile robots across diverse industrial environments, combined with their rapidly growing customer base, makes them a standout in the industrial automation space.”
Ati Motors plans to increase its robot deployments from the hundreds to the thousands within the next two years.
In 2023, Ati Motors raised $10.85 million in a Series A funding round. With this new investment, the company’s total funding now exceeds $37 million.
