D2C Skincare Brand Foxtale Raises $30 Mn Funding

Foxtale, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) skincare brand Foxtale has raised $30 million (around Rs 250 crore) in its series C funding round led by Japanese beauty products company Kose Corporation.

Foxtale, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) skincare brand Foxtale has raised $30 million (around Rs 250 crore) in its series C funding round led by Japanese beauty products company Kose Corporation. 

The round also saw participation from existing investors Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India), Kae Capital and Panthera Growth Partners.

The company plans to use the new funds to expand in current markets and improve its R&D capabilities.

Through this funding, Foxtale has partnered with KOSÉ Corporation to help the global beauty leader grow its presence in India.

Romita Mazumdar, founder at Foxtale, said, "This funding by KOSÉ Corporation will enable us to scale faster, innovate deeper and bring effective and accessible skincare to even more people across India. Beyond growth, this partnership also marks a step towards fostering stronger global relations, blending international expertise with local insights." 

“We are very happy to have concluded a capital and strategic partnership with fast-growing Foxtale in the premium mass skin care market on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of our entry into the Indian market," said Kazutoshi Kobayashi, president & CEO of KOSÉ Corporation. 

In June 2024, Foxtale raised around $18 million in its Series B round of funding led by Panthera Growth Partners.

About Foxtale 

The Mumbai-based Foxtale was founded in 2021, It offers a range of skincare products designed to address specific issues like acne, aging, and hyperpigmentation, with over 20 items available.

The startup says its FY25 revenue grew by 150%, thanks to a strong focus on direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales through its website.

D2C sales make up half of Foxtale's revenue, with a 50% repeat customer rate. The company aims to be profitable by the end of the next financial year.
