International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is an Independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organization. It provides students in technical degrees (primarily Science, Engineering and the applied arts) with paid, course-related, training abroad and employers with highly-skilled, highly motivated trainees, for long- or short-term projects. With over 80 countries involved and exchanging over 4000 traineeships each year worldwide, total in excess of 400,000+ traineeships, it is the largest organization of its kind in the world. Their main aim is to help members realize their dreams and to facilitate the exchange of ideas - both technical and cultural by connecting students from various cultures and countries.

The role of the international internship in learning and education is very important for the education industry. IAESTE platform gives abundant strength and motivates the students to develop themselves outside the India and by this, they get more job opportunities there.

"Neelakshi Chaturvedi is a mentor at the international association for the exchange of students at technical experience (IAESTE), assistant professor department of management and research scholar currently pursuing a Ph.D. Under her mentorship, 178 students exchanged since she started working for IAESTE in 2016"

Reason to start work as a mentor in IAESTE

The idea came up with the thought of moving outside the boundary of our country and making global and to encourage students to study abroad or to do some internship with this as it is a student running organization the work culture.

According to Neelakshi " IAESTE helps students to develop their personality and to develop themselves as smarter person and exchange of students will promote our Indian culture ”.

Currently, Neelakshi is working within association with JECRC. For student exchange program funds given by the University. University pays the stipend to the incoming students and also provides space for IAESTE to operate an office on the University campus. University arranges comfortable stay for interns in university hostel.

IAESTE is something making her a better person as dealing with international students and people is always giving them more confidence and making them self-motivated to do good work.
