April 2025 Funding Recap: Top Investments Across Sectors

April 2025 Funding Recap: Top Investments Across Sectors

The fourth month of 2025 saw strong investor interest across various industries, with around $ 1.18 billion in funding in different rounds. Fintech, Solartech and Ecommerce and other sectors attracted the most capital as companies continued to innovate and expand.

This article highlights the top companies that secured funding in April 2025 and how they plan to use it for growth.

Top funding of the month:

Spinny

Used-car sales platform Spinny has raised $131 million (Rs 1,120 crore) in a funding round led by US-based Accel Leaders Fund at a flat valuation of around $1.7-1.8 billion, as per media report.

The funding includes $107 million in primary transactions, where the company is issuing new shares to raise capital. The rest comes from secondary deals, where early investors are selling their stakes and some employee stock options are being bought back.

Apart from this, different companies like Juspay, Tessell, Infinity Fincorp are the companies that received the most funding this month.

Juspay 

Juspay, a Payment technology company has raised $60 million as a part of Series D funding round led by Kedaara Capital. 

The funding round included both primary and secondary investments, with continued support from existing investors SoftBank and Accel.

Tessell 

Tessell, a startup developing a multi-cloud database-as-a-service, has raised $60 million in a Series B funding round led by WestBridge Capital.

Existing investor Lightspeed Venture Partners, along with new investors B37.vc and Rocketship.vc, also participated in this round.

Jupiter International

Solar solutions provider Jupiter International Ltd has raised an investment of Rs 500 crore from ValueQuest SCALE Fund and its affiliates to boost solar manufacturing expansion.

The company runs a 1 GW solar facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh and plans to expand its capacity to 5.6 GW for solar cells and 2.4 GW for solar modules, it said in a statement.

Infinity Fincorp

Infinity Fincorp, a non-banking finance company (NBFC), has raised $40 million in an extended Series A funding round led by Beams Fintech Fund, a growth-stage private equity firm.

Scapia

Travel-focused fintech startup Scapia has raised $40 million in an equity funding round led by Peak XV Partners.

Existing investors Elevation Capital, Z47 and 3STATE Capital also took part in this round.

Easebuzz 

Pune-headquartered fintech firm Easebuzz has raised Rs 240 crore ($30 million) in a funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. 

The company has raised Rs 200 crore in primary capital and Rs 40 crore through a secondary deal, where existing investors sold their shares.

Rebel Foods

IPO-Bound Cloud kitchen startup Rebel Foods has reportedly raised $25 Mn (around INR 212.71 Cr) funding from Qatar Investment Authority.

According to media reports, Rebel Foods has raised new funding at a $1.4 billion valuation.

With this fresh capital, the company plans to grow its physical restaurants and food court business.

Tonbo Imaging

Defence tech startup Tonbo Imaging has secured Rs 175 crore in its Series D pre-IPO funding round from Florintree Advisors, Tenacity Ventures and the Export-Import Bank of India. 

The new investment will speed up the development of advanced infrared sensors, help deploy high-power microwave technology for battlefield defense, and support global expansion.

Pratilipi

Pratilipi, a digital storytelling platform has raised $20 million in its Series E funding round led by Jungle Ventures.

Pratilipi has raised $20 million in a mix of primary and secondary funding. This includes a $12 million primary investment, with contributions from two individual investors, and an $8 million secondary sale.

Noise 

Noise, a smartwatch and connected lifestyle brand has raised $20 million from US-based audio equipment major Bose Corporation.

This is the company’s second funding round since it started. Bose had earlier invested $10 million in 2023, when the company was valued at about $420 million.

Mosaic Wellness

Health and wellness startup Mosaic Wellness which runs brands like Man Matters and Be Bodywise, has raised Rs 175 crore (around $20 million) from early stage investor Think Investment.

Uniqus 

Uniqus, an enterprise tech startup is reportedly in advanced discussions to raise $20 million (about Rs 172 crore) in its Series C round.

Kult 

Kult, a beauty tech and discovery platform has raised $20 million in its Series A funding round led by Dr. Payal Kanodia and Aishwarya Bansal from the M3M Family Office, with participation from Venture Catalysts.
