Amazon India has partnered with Startup India, under the aegis of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), to empower Indian startups to scale their businesses through e-commerce.
To provide DPIIT-recognised startups access to Amazon’s vast network of India’s 100% serviceable pincodes, a dedicated landing page will be created on the Startup India website. This page will onboard startups as sellers on Amazon, offering information on opportunities and incentives, and redirecting them to the registration page. This will help them gain access to the domestic market as well as mentorship from Amazon leaders, go-to-market support, and logistics guidance.

“Our collaboration with Amazon is aimed at empowering startups to unleash their entrepreneurial potential and access new growth avenues”, Sanjiv Singh Joint Secretary, DPIIT, said.
Furthermore, Amazon and DPIIT will collaborate to spread the word about the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) project. BHASKAR, the nation’s first startup registry, aims to improve coordination, centralise, and facilitate communication amongst important players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, such as government agencies, investors, mentors, and businesses.
