Prescinto, a top supplier of software-as-a-service (SaaS) for asset performance management (APM) in the renewable energy sector, has been acquired by IBM.
Prescinto's capabilities use artificial intelligence (AI) to provide sophisticated automation, analytics, and monitoring to manage clean energy and storage assets and optimise operations for renewable energy.

IBM's asset lifecycle management system, IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS), will function better as a result of the acquisition of Prescinto. Additionally, it will strengthen IBM's position as a leader in the energy and utility sectors, which are facing a major transition and looking for ways to manage and maximise their renewable energy storage assets, such as solar, wind, and other sources.
Prescinto, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Bangalore, India, works with and services global customers across 14 countries with 16 GigaWatts under management. Prescinto’s APM capabilities help organizations simplify operations and maintenance to maximize ROI.
