According to reports, Two Brothers Organic Farm (TBOF), an agritech startup, has raised an undisclosed amount in a Pre-Series A round of funding from actor Akshay Kumar, former cricketer Virender Sehwag, and other investors who have not been named.

According to reports, Two Brothers Organic Farm (TBOF), an agritech startup, has raised an undisclosed amount in a Pre-Series A round of funding from actor Akshay Kumar, former cricketer Virender Sehwag, and other investors who have not been named.

Two Brothers Organic Farm (TBOF) was established in 2012 by Ajinkya Hange and Satyajit Hange in Pune, to pursue farming as a full-time profession. The concept for the startup originated when the two brothers decided to return to their hometown, as per reported by Inc42.

Commenting on the fundraiser, Satyajit told ET, “The pre-Series A will set the base for Series A.” He furthered that the funding will be used to expand the business domestically and globally, enhancing the manufacturing capacity and constructing training facilities for the farmers associated with the startup.

TBOF’s founders aspire to improve the living standards of the farmer community in rural areas, and they believe that this funding will help them create employment opportunities, particularly for women in the village.

According to reports, TBOF has reportedly distributed shares to each member of their farming team as well as to the early founding members of the startup.

Two Brothers Organic Farm (TBOF), founded in 2013, was established in an effort to identify alternative answers to issues that were relevant and on the rise in relation to agriculture, soil fertility, good chemical-free food, and a sustainable way of life.

The TBOF was founded by Satyajit and Ajinkya, two MBAs who spent almost ten years working in the corporate world before deciding to return to their origins and explore their first love, agriculture.
