[Funding News] Agbiotech Startup BioPrime Raises $6 Mn Series A Funding led by Edaphon

BioPrime Agrisolutions (BioPrime), an agribiotech business, has secured $6 million in its Series A round led by Edaphon, with investment from Omnivore and Inflexor.

The newly raised funds will support BioPrime’s agricultural protection research, with an emphasis on the cooperative development of innovative bio fungicides and bioinsecticides.

The Pune-based business, led by Inflexor Ventures and Omnivore, had secured Rs 9 million in its pre-Series A round in October 2022.

Founded by Renuka Diwan, Amit Shinde, and Shekhar Bhosle, BioPrime manufactures reasonably priced agribiologicals that use tiny biomolecules to modify the fundamental physiological reactions in crops.
