Mumbai resident two Super Women – Manjusha Javier and her daughter Najooka Javier, today earn lakhs from a startup named "Tohfa". Her startup sells home decoration items made of cloths. With an investment of only ₹ 2000, Manjusha Javier started her startup named Tohfa.
The Early Life of Mother-Daughter
A special story of the 100-year-old sewing machine in Manjusha Javier's home in Mumbai. When Manjusha was growing up, she spent much of her free time using it to stitch. However, there was a long period when the machine wasn't used, almost for ten years.
During this time, Manjusha got married, moved to Delhi, became a mother, and later moved back to Mumbai, where she cared for her daughter alone. Manjusha raised her daughter single-handedly all her life, working at a boutique.

Lost Job at The Age of 52
Everything was going well, but in 2016, Manjusha lost her job when she was 52 years old. Usually, at this age, most people tend to relax and focus on rest. However, she couldn't stop working because she needed to pay for her daughter's education and take care of the household.
Noticing all the situations, she thought about looking for another job. Soon, Manjusha found a new job at a small law firm. She had to travel for an hour and a half each way but was happy to be earning money.
However, she soon realized that criminal law wasn't the right fit for her, as reading the cases all day made her more anxious and worried about her health. She kept the job because she wanted to support her daughter, Najooka, who had just graduated.
Observing all the things Najooka discussed with her mother. While talking to each other, Najooka advised her mother to think about a hobby she loved. This question made Manjusha realize that stitching made her happy.
The sewing machine, which had been sitting unused in the corner of the room, reminded them of this. That was the moment when they came up with a business idea of making and selling decorative items made of cloth. This is how their startup, 'Tohfa', was born.
