The founder and CEO, Jagadeesh Kumar, has a strong professional background, having worked for Tata Consultancy Services, Linde India Ltd, and Healthkart. He is an engineering graduate and has a PGDM from IIM (Raipur). Today, Jagadeesh manages company's marketing, strategy, customer experience, and finance.
- Madhumitha Udaykumar:
The founder and COO, Madhumitha Udaykumar, worked as a consultant at Deloitte and gained experience by organizing over 100 events in Chennai and Bangalore. She now manages operations and procurement, focusing on innovation and customer satisfaction.

From Couple To Founders:
It all began when founder & CEO Jagadeesh Kumar and founder and COO Madhumitha Udaykumar had a kitchen accident where plastic cookware melted in the oven. This accident made them realize that the quality of utensils is just as important as the ingredients for cooking healthy food.
This experience led to research for safer cookware that wouldn't release harmful chemicals into food. But again, they had to deal with disappointing experience due to unhealthy and hard-to-find options. The whole process compelled both husband and wife to consider why there was not a trustworthy brand for healthy cookware. Their innovative mind took this gap as a world full of opportunities and turned it into business.
About Startup:
In order to address this gap, the husband-wife duo came up with their startup idea of making kitchen products from natural and healthy materials without any harmful chemicals. In 2016, The Indus Valley was launched by Jagdeesh Kumar and Madhumitha Uday Kumar.
This Chennai-based The Indus Valley is a Cookware firm that offers toxin-free and natural products to avoid using chemical coatings or other harmful materials. All goods are made from natural materials, such as cast iron, iron, copper, clay and wood.
This company is focused on revolutionizing cooking by merging health, safety, and innovation into the kitchen.
