Ranjan became head of food ordering and delivery in May 2023 after leading new initiatives at Zomato. At that time, Rinshul Chandra was named COO of the delivery unit and Rishi Arora became CEO of Hyperpure, Zomato’s B2B ingredient supply arm.
This change comes as Zomato adjusts its structure. In 2022, Goyal moved to a multi‑CEO “Eternal” model covering Zomato, Blinkit, Hyperpure and Feeding India.
The shift follows the departure of COO Rinshul Chandra in April, who left for new opportunities. With Goyal now directly running food delivery, Zomato aims to keep growing and stay strong in the competitive market.
