Online gaming company Nazara Technologies has announced that its Chief Operating Officer (COO), Sudhir Kamath, will be stepping down from his position.
In a statement to the stock exchanges, the company confirmed that Kamath's resignation will take effect on April 1, 2025. He is leaving to relocate to Delhi and be with his family.
Kamath expressed gratitude for his time at the company over the last two and a half years in his resignation letter to Nitish Mittersain, Managing Director of Nazara Technologies.
He mentioned the valuable experience gained from working closely with Mittersain, the board, and colleagues across Nazara's subsidiaries. During his tenure, Kamath made significant contributions to the company's growth and helped drive it toward its expansion goals.

“We hereby inform you that Mr. Sudhir Kamath, Chief Operating Officer, designated as senior management personnel (SMP) of the Company, has tendered his resignation in order to relocate to his native city to be with his family. The Company has accepted his resignation and he will be relieved from his responsibilities with effect from April 01, 2025,” said the company.
In Kamath’s resignation letter, “As discussed, I would like to resign from my role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Nazara Technologies, so that I can move back to Delhi and spend more time with my family there… I will ensure an orderly transfer of responsibilities to colleagues”.
Nazara has not yet announced a successor for Kamath. The appointment of a new COO will be closely watched as it will impact the company's future strategy and operational performance.
Nazara Technologies recently reported a 53% year-on-year decline in net profit, down to Rs 13.6 crore for Q3FY25, despite a strong revenue growth.
The company’s operating revenue increased by 67% to Rs 534.6 crore for the quarter ending December 31, 2024, compared to Rs 320 crore in the previous year.
