Omnia Acquires Bengaluru-based AR startup SpotKwik

Bengaluru-based SpotKwik, a Silicon Valley-backed AR startup, has been acquired by U.S.-based XR company Omnia.

The deal details were not disclosed.

With SpotKwik's acquisition, Omnia gains its R&D and products, helping it expand spatial storytelling and boost AR adoption in businesses.

SpotKwik’s core team will stay with Omnia, working on creating immersive solutions to transform digital experiences.

Omnia serves as a marketplace for AR creators, enterprises, and brands, offering spatial experiences to major clients like Tesla and AOI in the U.S.

SpotKwik’s co-founder and CEO, Mithun Adith, shared that the company aims to go beyond mobile AR and explore spatial computing.

"While SpotKwik’s AR technology serves the platforms of today—smartphones—we aim to build for the platforms of tomorrow: headsets like Apple Vision Pro, freeing apps from the boundaries of a display and enabling them to appear as if seen through our real eyes. Omnia, with its XR distribution expertise and notable clients such as Tesla, AOI, and GM, is the perfect partner to help us build the future," Adith said.

Aldo Petruzzelli, CEO and Founder of Omnia, said, “The acquisition of SpotKwik is a strategic step in Omnia’s mission to bridge the gap between traditional web-based experiences and the spatial computing revolution. By integrating SpotKwik’s capabilities, we’re enabling the seamless conversion of Web-based builds into spatial-ready applications, accelerating adoption across industries. This not only enhances content discoverability in AR and XR environments but also ensures that developers can effortlessly deploy their projects into the next era of computing without needing to rebuild from scratch.”

The deal enhances Omnia’s ability to provide ready-to-use AR solutions for businesses, brands and users, strengthening its role in the expanding spatial computing market.

About SpotKwik

Founded in 2020 by Mithun Adith, SpotKwik started as a B2C social commerce platform, using AR to tag influencer posts with products, letting users try and buy items virtually. This approach led to partnerships with Meesho and Amazon, onboarding 17,000+ influencers and processing over 500 daily orders at its peak.

Later, the startup shifted to a B2B model, working with brands and enterprises. It ran pilot projects with Framekart, Click2Collab and GladUCame, offering AR-driven retail and marketing solutions. This transition helped SpotKwik scale its technology and improve brand-consumer interactions.
