The IPO will include a secondary component, allowing some early backers to partially exit. Sources added that Meesho’s co-founders, Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Barnwal, will not be selling any shares in the offering.

According to a regulatory filing with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Meesho’s board has approved a special resolution to change the company’s name from “Meesho Private Limited” to “Meesho Limited.”

 The board said that since Meesho has built strong brand recognition and trust in digital commerce, it makes sense to align the company's legal name with its popular brand.

Sources said that SoftBank-backed e-commerce platform has selected Morgan Stanley, Kotak Mahindra Capital, and Citi as advisers for its IPO.
