Online travel platform EaseMyTrip announced that it had received board approval to acquire a 49% stake in Big Charter Pvt Ltd, a company operating in india’s charter aviation sector.
Purpose of this acquisition
With this acquisition, EaseMyTrip plans to strengthen its position in the aviation sector and support the growth of charter air travel in India. It also helps EaseMyTrip expand its services by integrating its technology with Big Charter’s operations.
This partnership aims to simplify charter flight bookings, improve pricing, and make services more accessible, especially in smaller cities where Big Charter already operates.

Big Charter, also called FlyBig, has four aircraft and mainly operates on regional Udaan routes. In FY24, it earned Rs 128.75 crore in revenue. However, the airline had to pause its operations temporarily due to financial and commercial challenges.
EaseMyTrip is expanding internationally, with its board approving several investments to support this growth. The company has decided to inject 50,000 Saudi Riyals (Rs 11.41 Lakh) into its Saudi Arabia subsidiary, Easy Trip Planners Limited, $10,000 (Rs 8.56 Lakh) into its US subsidiary, EaseMyTrip USA Inc and 1,000 Brazilian Real (Rs 14,881) into its Brazil subsidiary, Easy Trip Planners Do Brasil Ltda.
Additionally, EaseMyTrip’s UAE-based subsidiary, EaseMyTrip MiddleEast DMCC, has set up two new companies in Dubai- Ease My Trip Tours LLC and Ease My Trip Holiday Homes LLC.
