Kae Capital, an early stage venture capital firm, concluded its Winners Fund II (KWF II) by raising $50 Mn (around Rs 410 cr) for growth stage fundraising rounds of its portfolio businesses.

According to a statement from the company, the fund received investments from investors such as Velo Partners, VM Thapar Family Office, co-founder and executive chairman of KKR Henry Kravis, 360 ONE, HealthKart founder Sameer Maheshwari, Max Healthcare founder Abhay Soi, DSP Group founder Hemendra Kothari, and Prashant Tandon and Tanmay Saksena of Tata 1mg.
“We have launched this fund in order to continue backing our best founders, alongside other successful founders in the ecosystem, who are not yet a part of the Kae family,” said Sasha Mirchandani, partner at Kae Capital, announcing the closure of KWF II.”

For more than a decade, Kae Capital has made investments in Indian businesses. It is a fund that invests in pre-Seed through pre-Series A rounds and is not sector-specific. Initial cheque amounts typically range from $1 million to $3 million.
Since its establishment in 2012, Kae Capital has made investments in 81 businesses, among them Porter, Zetwerk, Nazara, and Tata 1mg. The portfolio enterprise value of the company is $8.76 billion.
