ValleyNXT Ventures Launches Bharat Breakthrough Fund–I with Rs 400 Cr Corpus Target

ValleyNXT Ventures has launched Bharat Breakthrough Fund–I, a SEBI-registered Category I Venture Capital Fund, aim to help early-stage startups to survive in India’s innovation ecosystem.

Bharat Breakthrough Fund has a total size of Rs 400 crore and will back startups from seed to pre-Series A stages.

The fund is based on the idea that startup failure in the validation-to-scale stage is not just about money but also about direction. Young companies often face fragmented advice, pressure to scale too soon and unclear execution plans. Bharat Breakthrough Fund–I aims to solve this with a VC-plus-accelerator model using ValleyNXT’s MIB framework: Mentorship, Investment and Business Connects.

Bharat Breakthrough Fund–I is aiming for a base corpus of Rs 200 crore, with an option to raise an additional Rs 200 crore, making a total of Rs 400 crore. The fund will invest in deep-tech and tech-first startups across sectors such as space, defence tech, robotics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, biotech, sustainability and consumer innovation.

The fund is led by an experienced team—Nikhil Agarwal, Madhu Vasepalli, Anand Saklecha, and Suresh Goyal—who bring strong expertise in venture investing, startup acceleration, governance and deep-tech innovation.

ValleyNXT Ventures said it has already supported several early-stage startups using its strong angel network and accelerator-driven investment approach. The firm has evaluated over 5,000 deals and invested in more than 10 promising startups, providing them with capital, mentorship, and strategic business connections to help accelerate growth.
