Secured lending NBFC Techfino raises Rs 65 crore equity funding

Non-banking finance company Techfino has raised Rs 65 crore in an equity funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners and Saison Capital.

Techfino has raised about Rs 18 crore so far from DCB Bank and other investors.

“We will offer loans in the range of Rs 8 to 12 lakh, typically looking for self-occupied property, catering to the needs of small shopkeepers, traders,” said Ratikanta Satpathy, cofounder of Techfino.

About Techfino 

Founded in 2019 by three senior bankers, Rajesh Panda, Ratikanta Satpathy and Jayaprakash Patra, the Bengaluru-based Techfino began by financing coaching, school fees, higher education, and upskilling courses.

Recently, it launched a second product—loans against property for small businesses—and now plans to expand this offering to meet rising demand.

Techfino currently has a loan book of Rs 225 crore and aims to grow it to Rs 350 crore, with Rs 200 crore coming from its loans against property (LAP) portfolio. For its secured loans, the company uses a branch-led model across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. It currently operates 30 branches and plans to double this number by FY26.

Techfino, which currently has around 400 employees, plans to expand its branch network and grow its team to about 600 by the end of this year. The company ended FY25 with Rs 34 crore in revenue and Rs 1.5 crore in profit before tax.
