Let’s begin:

This is an inspiring journey of turning urine into ₹70 lakhs in revenue. The story began when the man observed his father struggling to save cows, as the number of abandoned cows was increasing daily.

What makes his story truly inspiring is that, instead of overlooking the problem, he pursued a solution and saved around 15,000 cows, generating ₹70 lakhs in revenue. Initially, no one was ready to believe in their idea, but without losing hope, he dedicated himself with his relentless efforts.

Early days of founder:

Meet Bhavesh Purohit, the founder of Dhenuprsad Agrovate Pvt. Ltd. He holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from the Institute of Advanced Research in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He belongs to a farming family, and around 25 years’ ago his father also started a goshala.

Bhavesh is a visionary entrepreneur with a deep passion for revolutionizing Indian agriculture. He always wanted to empower farmers, promote rural progress, and support sustainable practices for cow herders. Seeing stray cows on the streets, feeding on harmful waste, troubled him greatly, but he struggled to figure out the solution.

However, his spirit finally found a solution, and now he has saved around 15000 cows by beginning the journey in the world of entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurial Journey of Bhavesh Purohit:

During his college years, Bhavesh observed his father's struggle to protect the cows. One day, his father came to him and shared his concern with Bhavesh, saying “the number of abandoned cows on the streets is increasing.”

It was then that Bhavesh realized the need for a long-term solution to protect abandoned cows. His curiosity behavior and enthusiasm spirit led him to in-depth research. After three years, he discovered a game-changing idea—transforming cow urine into 100% natural fertilizers. This sparked him to start a new chapter by launching his startup and pursuing a journey towards sustainability.

Challenges behind the startup:

Bhavesh was eager to launch his startup and begin a new journey. He realized there was a significant obstacle in his way: lack of awareness. Most farmers were unfamiliar with organic farming and hesitant to embrace his innovative approach.

He and his team used to visit villages and farmlands in the surrounding areas nearly every day. However, they were constantly dealing with rejections. No one was willing to give them a chance. Yet, instead of losing hope, he tried his best, dedicating himself to a vision of a future where both the land and the people thrive together.

Concept to Creation:

Finally, Bhavesh took the leap of faith, and in 2017, Bhavesh established Dhenuprsad Agrovate Pvt. Ltd. in Bhabhar, Banaskantha district, Gujarat. He firmly believed that cows, particularly indigenous breeds, could play a crucial economic role when integrated into organic farming practices.

This Gujarat-based startup, Dhenuprsad, converts cow urine into top-quality, 100% natural fertilizers, soil conditioners, and pest repellents, providing farmers affordable, eco-friendly options in place of harmful chemical products.

The company also produces cow urine products for human use, including Distilled Ark and Dhenugold (a dry powder form of cow urine). These are provided to Ayurvedic companies for further research and use in their formulations.

Dream to reality:

Bhavesh always wanted to protect cows by innovating something that would be beneficial for them. Finally, his dream turned into reality. With his startup, he has saved around 15000 cows and helped more than 500 farmers transition to organic farming, creating a sustainable future for agriculture in India.

Dhenuprsad supported farmers by purchasing cow urine at a rate of ₹5 per liter and spending ₹25 per month to farmers for gomutra. In addition, their initiatives provided a reliable income to thousands of rural households and promoted a circular economy in rural areas.

Aspirations for the Future:

Currently, Dhenu Prasad’s manufacturing unit processes 45,000 liters of cow urine every single month. His goal is to expand their reach throughout India, increase their production capacity, and establish a model of rural prosperity that balances ecological sustainability with economic development.

Dhenu Prasad achieved ₹70 lakhs in revenue for FY24, and the company aimed to surpass ₹1.5 Cr. in FY25.

Hats off to this man, who generated ₹70 lakhs, saving 15,000 cows, supporting +500 farmers, and promoting a sustainable future.
