AppsForBharat, the parent company of the devotional app Sri Mandir, has secured $17.8 million in its Series B funding round, which was led by Fundamentum.
Susquehanna Asia VC, Elevation Capital, Peak XV, and Mirae Asset VC were among the existing investors who participated in the round.
the funds will be allocated to the following objectives: the expansion of the Sri Mandir app, the development of a technology stack for temples, the addition of five new regional languages, and the expansion of operations in India and global markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
The Bengaluru-based startup has now raised nearly $32 million with this most recent round. This includes $10 million in Series A funding in September 2021 and $4 million in a Seed round in August 2021.

Fundamentum contributed Rs 73.5 crore ($8.8 million) and Elevation and Peak XV contributed Rs 19.3 crore ($6.4 million) and Rs 13.8 crore ($1.65 million), respectively, according to data obtained from the company’s regulatory filings. The remaining sum was collectively invested by Mirae Asset, WEH Ventures, and Sai Global India.
The Sri Mandir app provides users with access to more than 50 temples. It enables them to participate in pujas, make offerings, and access devotional content from the comfort of their own homes. Additionally, the application provides consultations with clerics and astrologers.
