Food delivery platform Zomato said its co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) Gunjan Patidar has quit, the latest in a series of top-level exits.
This is the fourth significant exit for the Gurugram-based food-tech firm in recent months. Patidar was one of the first few employees of Zomato and built the core tech system for the company, as per reported by BW Disrupt.

Patidar was with Zomato since 2008 and was responsible for the entire tech vertical of the company. Over the past ten-plus years, he has also nurtured a capable technical leadership team to drive technical operations forward. His contribution to building Zomato has been invaluable.
Patidar’s exit comes weeks after co-founder Mohit Gupta left the company. Zomato’s new initiatives head and former food delivery head Rahul Ganju and Siddharth Jhawar, head of its Intercity Legends service, also quit. Ganju resigned in November 2022 after a five-year term.

Zomato co-founder Gaurav Gupta resigned two months after the company’s initial public offering (IPO) in July 2021. Mohit and Gaurav Gupta were appointed as co-founders in 2020 and 2019 respectively. Pankaj Chadha, the first co-founder of Zomato, left the company in 2018.
Zomato is an Indian multinational restaurant aggregator and food delivery company founded in 2008 by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chadha. Zomato offers food delivery options with information, menus, and user reviews of restaurants from partner restaurants in select cities.
