With this, the organisation hopes to assist the upcoming generation of entrepreneurs and fledgling startups while also unleashing prospects for India's entrepreneurial environment.

WeWork India will provide the shortlisted businesses with competitive advice, all-encompassing business support, and pre-Seed and Seed finance of up to $200K under this scheme. WeWork has also added a network of co-investors, comprising Lead Angels, AdvantEdge Founders, IIFL, Waterbridge Ventures, Chiratae Ventures, and Huddle, to its portfolio for the same reason.

Commenting on the development, WeWork India’s CEO Karan Virwani said, “Investments by WeWork Labs marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to this cause.”

In order to provide founders with all the tools they need to establish and grow their startup, the company also intends to introduce the Jumpstart programme. According to the firm, WeWork Labs is presently home to over 330 active entrepreneurs and has nurtured over 500 startups over the last five years, as reported by Inc42.

It joins a growing list of firms that have started incubation and acceleration programmes, including Flipkart, Panasonic, KRAFTON, and others.
