InfoEdge Ventures has invested a total of $1.5 Mn in Funstop Games, a gaming studio situated in Gurugram.
To improve the quality of its game portfolio, the business intends to increase the amount of money it spends on developing games and ad tech infrastructure.

“The evolving gaming landscape demands high-quality games with engaging gameplay and design. InfoEdge Ventures’ investment provides the capital to develop IPs with longer revenue streams, validating our belief in the combination of data and design,” said Prashanth Vijay, cofounder of Funstop Games.
Following the successful release of two of its games, Perfect Time and Airport Rush 3D, the company intends to build on the lessons it learned.

Commenting on the investment, Chinmaya Sharma, partner at InfoEdge Ventures, said, “We are convinced that design + data = good games. At Funstop, too, it was the combination of Tamesh’s sense of design and gameplay and Prashanth’s understanding of data that made us strong believers in them.”
Funstop Games, founded by Prashanth Vijay and Tamesh Sharma, stated to have made over $4 million in revenue from its games and to have had over 50 million downloads, as reported by ET.
