Venture Highway Lead Investor Aviral Bhatnagar Founded AJVC to fill the Pre-Seed Fundraising Gap

Aviral Bhatnagar, previously a prominent investor in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), consumer, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) industries at Venture Highway, has just established a new venture capital fund named AJVC.

This fund will specifically concentrate on making investments in the early stages of startups.

Bhatnagar, who departed from the venture capital company in April, recognized a substantial deficiency in India's pre-seed ecosystem, where numerous entrepreneurs have difficulties in securing their initial investment round. He emphasized that it sometimes requires more than 20 investors to obtain simply INR 1 Cr, causing numerous potential firms to relinquish their aspirations at the initial phase.

In a recent development, General Catalyst, a venture capital business headquartered in the United States, revealed its merger with Venture Highway, an early-stage investment firm based in Delhi NCR, with the aim of strengthening its foothold in India.

Before Bhatnagar left, Samir Sood, one of the co-founders of Venture Highway, resigned from his role as a partner at the venture capital firm many months ago. Venture Highway, established in 2015 by Sood and Arora, has successful startups including meesho, CRED, and Moglix in its investment portfolio.

Bhatnagar is now one of a lengthy roster of fund managers and partners who have departed from venture capital firms in the previous year in order to establish their own business endeavors.
