Tredence, a prominent firm specializing in data science and AI solutions, recently completed its worldwide AI hackathon, ‘Ode to Code: Crafting the Future with AI,’ on AI Appreciation Day.
The 24-hour event united 235 individuals from Tredence offices globally and seven esteemed Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), creating 42 teams to address practical difficulties in different industries.
The hackathon took place in many cities including Bengaluru, Gurugram, Pune, Kolkata, and Chennai in India, as well as in the United States, Dubai, and Toronto. During the event, teams worked together to develop creative ideas that had a measurable impact. The participating Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) were IIT Varanasi (BHU), IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Madras.
The projects included improving metro system predictions, reducing congestion at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, enhancing supplier performance and reliability, developing advanced anti-money laundering platforms with graph-based analysis, and providing AI insights for seamless transactions at SwiftPay. These projects showcased the event’s emphasis on solving important global issues.

The objective of the hackathon was to create novel assets and accelerators for Tredence, while simultaneously tackling actual industry challenges. The platform offered by IIT allowed students to demonstrate their abilities and maybe obtain employment prospects in the fast-growing field of AI.
Tredence is planning to expand its operations and workforce by 60% by mid-2025, both in India and globally. Hackathons are important for recognizing and developing talent, as well as driving technological developments in the domains of AI and data science.
