This approval puts the Bengaluru-based company among a select group trusted to handle international money transfers for businesses in India and abroad.

Razorpay said Prabhu will lead its engineering teams across risk and intelligence, business banking, payments, customer engagement, and core infrastructure. He will also oversee the fintech’s efforts to accelerate product innovation and strengthen its technology stack.

Currently in a pilot phase, the initiative will let users make purchases via ChatGPT using India’s UPI. The pilot aims to test how AI agents can safely and securely complete transactions on users’ behalf, while keeping control with the user.

Pop will use the funding to boost product innovation, offer better Popcoins rewards for users, and grow partnerships with D2C and lifestyle brands.

Through this partnership, startups will get access to Razorpay’s fintech tools, mentorship, product credits, and a supportive innovation ecosystem. The goal is to help early-stage startups working on advanced technologies grow faster.
