She will take over the role from Rohit Jawa, who is stepping down on July 31 to explore the next phase of his personal and professional journey. Jawa had taken over the position in 2023.

The deal involved both a direct investment into the company and buying shares from existing shareholders, adding up to a total cash payment of Rs 2,706.44 crore, HUL said in a stock exchange filing.

Ashwath Swaminathan, a former executive of Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL), was appointed chief growth and marketing officer of Swiggy.
