T-Hub launches a new cohort for semiconductor startups

Hyderabad-based technology incubator T-Hub launched the Semiconductor Cohort of the AIC T-Hub Foundation program to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among startups in the semiconductor sector.

Hyderabad-based technology incubator T-Hub launched the Semiconductor Cohort of the AIC T-Hub Foundation program to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among startups in the semiconductor sector.

The AIC T-Hub Foundation program will help entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of growing startups through expert-led workshops, specialized mentorship, market access and investor and industry connections.

“Indian engineers have contributed massively to the semiconductor sector while working with global companies. Therefore, we must aid them in setting up and scaling their design startups with solid support from the ecosystem,” said, M Srinivas Rao, chief executive officer (CEO) of T-Hub.

“T-Hub and AIC, together with other ecosystem enablers through this program, are trying to provide the semiconductor startups access to the right mentorship, funding channels, and networking opportunities,” he added.

Through this six-month program, they will guide 20 startups with potentially disruptive technologies that could reshape semiconductor supply chains in the future. The startups will be selected on the basis of technology innovation, go-to-market readiness, scalability and team composition and interested startups can apply here and the last date for application is September 5.

With this program T-Hub and AIM will help startups gain government connections with the Indian Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Semiconductor Complex, and GAETEC (Gallium Arsenide Technology Centre), so that they can be certified and tested with quick compliance.

T-Hub has partnered with the Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD) and Qualcomm to provide startups with free access to Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software tools for Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) to create, verify and simulate hypothetical designs.
