Ashwath Swaminathan, a former executive of Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL), was appointed chief growth and marketing officer of Swiggy.
In his new position, Swaminathan, who was leading HUL's deodorant and oral care division as a vice president, will support Swiggy's marketing expansion.

With seventeen years of tenure at HUL, Swaminathan led the development of the green tea division and oversaw the expansion of its dental and cosmetic firms, Pepsodent and Closeup, as reported by Inc42.
“I look forward to helping elevate the Swiggy brand for the next chapter of innovation and growth and make it an iconic brand by offering unparalleled convenience to urban Indians,” Swaminathan said.

Anirban Roy and Dipak Krishnamani, two former Amazon executives, recently joined Swiggy Instamart and Swiggy Mall, accordingly.
