US-based VC firm Expert Dojo has launched its third global fund, aiming to raise $100 million. Out of this, it plans to invest $15 million in Indian startups.
The firm said it will back 20–25 early-stage Indian startups in FY26. Though it’s open to all sectors, it will mainly focus on fintech, B2B, SaaS and AI.
Expert Dojo will invest between $50,000 and $1 million per startup and offer mentorship and market connections.
It also plans to invest another $30 million in Indian startups over the next 2–3 years.

“Having previously invested in over 300+ startups globally, we are now setting our sights on replicating that success with our India-focused fund. This fund connects global investors to India’s growth story. For founders, we bring three things: capital, experience and a network that opens doors. By building strong partnerships, we want to help Indian startups grow and compete internationally,” said Brian Mac Mahon, Founder and Managing Partner at Expert Dojo.
The firm has set up an office in Bengaluru to focus on finding startups, supporting founders, and building partnerships. Ashutosh Kumar Jha, the general partner for India, said the fund aims to fill gaps in cross-border funding, mentorship and market entry strategies.
"India's entrepreneurial talent pool is unmatched. However, challenges remain, especially in cross-border capital access, international mentorship, and go-to-market expansion. This fund is structured to bridge these exact gaps. We're building more than a portfolio — we're building an India-US innovation corridor that opens doors for Indian startups to scale globally. From Bangalore to Boston, from Delhi to Dubai, we want our founders to think and build borderlessly," Jha added.
