Amid several top-level departures at the regional social media platform ShareChat, chief business officer Gaurav Jain is also planning to leave the company.
ShareChat CEO Ankush Sachdeva informed employees about Jain’s departure. Jain later confirmed the news in a separate LinkedIn post.

“Today, we shared internally that I’ll be moving on from ShareChat and Moj in the coming weeks," Jain said in a LinkedIn post.
Hinting on his next possible stint in the Asian continent, Jain said, “As for what’s next— I’m going from Bharat to Pan-Asian. More on that soon.”
Jain joined ShareChat and Moj in October 2022. He first led the ‘emerging business’ and was promoted to Chief Business Officer in November 2023, where he oversaw monetisation, ad sales, creator partnerships, and virtual gifting.
Before ShareChat, he led business expansion for Snap in the APAC region, managing Snapchat’s monetisation across India, Southeast Asia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Earlier, he held leadership roles at Meta India (mid-market business) and google APAC (agency business).
ShareChat is now searching for someone to take over Jain’s role.
ShareChat is a social networking platform that allows users in India to share content in multiple languages. Its parent company, Mohalla Tech, also owns Moj, a short video platform similar to TikTok.
