Reliance Partners With BLAST To Enter Esports Business

Reliance-owned sports tech platform RISE Worldwide has partnered with Europe-based BLAST to create esports tournaments for indian gamers.

The new joint venture will develop, host and promote esports competitions across india, using BLAST’s event expertise and Reliance’s digital infrastructure. 

It will bring BLAST’s global tournament formats to India while creating new ones for local audiences.These events will be streamed on JioGames and include competition management, publisher partnerships, sponsorships and broadcasts.

BLAST, known for organizing major esports events for games like Counter-Strike 2, Fortnite and Rainbow Six, works with top publishers like Epic Games, Valve, Riot Games, KRAFTON and Ubisoft. Its events are expected to reach over 2 billion views in 2025, airing in 30+ languages across 150 countries.

Reliance is expanding into esports at a time when the industry is gaining cultural and commercial importance, further strengthening its presence in entertainment and youth-focused content.
