The Chennai-based electric four-wheeler ride-hailing company Refex eVeelz has rebranded as Refex Mobility. The move comes alongside the appointment of Anirudh Arun as the new CEO.
Arun, former CEO of all-electric ride-hailing service blusmart, is expected to lead Refex Mobility’s next phase of growth.

The company official said his appointment is part of Refex’s strategy to bring in senior talent from top mobility companies.
Refex Mobility has also appointed Ankit Grover, former BluSmart AVP of global growth, as its Chief Business Officer (CBO). He will focus on boosting revenue by building enterprise partnerships and expanding corporate client relationships, the company said.
On March 21, Chennai-based Refex Industries cancelled its deal with BluSmart’s associate, Gensol Engineering, which was to sell 2,997 electric vehicles to Refex.
Refex is one of Uber’s fleet partners and had earlier agreed to deploy 1,000 electric cars in major Indian cities by 2026.
Separately, it has increased its stake in its subsidiary, Venwind Refex Power Limited (VRPL) which operates in the wind power and energy sector.
