Raghu Krishnananda Steps down As Myntra's CPTO

Raghu Krishnananda, Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) at Myntra, has stepped down after five years with the company.

A graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and NYU Stern, Krishnananda led key teams at Myntra including business intelligence, design, product, IT and security. He was responsible for shaping the company’s product and tech strategy to build a top-tier online fashion platform for users, brands and sellers.

Earlier in February, Flipkart’s CPTO Jeyandran Venugopal also left the company after eight years, citing personal reasons in a note shared by CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy.

“After a stint of over five years, Raghu has decided to explore the next chapter of life outside of Myntra,” Nandita Sinha, chief executive officer (CEO), Myntra, said in the internal mail sent to employees. “As we seek the right talent to take on his responsibilities, Raghu’s direct reports will report to me in the interim. I thank him for his contributions and wish him success in the journey ahead,” she added.

“Raghu has played an instrumental role in fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation and excellence,” said Sinha. “As CPTO, he has led his teams to ensure that our tech and product strategy remains agile, scalable and closely aligned with business goals.”

Founded in 2007 by Mukesh Bansal, Ashutosh Lawania and Vineet Saxena, Flipkart-owned fashion ecommerce platform Myntra is an online marketplace that sells clothes and fashion items. Flipkart bought the company in 2014 for $240 million.
