Perfios Acquires Healthcare Information Exchange Firm IHX To Enter Health Insurance Tech

Fintech SaaS unicorn Perfios has acquired IHX, a healthcare information exchange platform, marking its third acquisition this year.

The Bengaluru-based startup did not reveal the deal amount but said the acquisition will help strengthen its claims management services in the healthcare insurance sector.

Perfios chief executive officer Sabyasachi Goswami said, “By combining IHX’s stronghold in the healthcare ecosystem with Perfios’ deep expertise in data intelligence and analytics, we are poised to drive greater efficiency, reduce claims turnaround time, and elevate the experience for both patients and healthcare providers.”

About IHX 

Founded in 2020 by Mahesh Nagaraj and Ambuj Kashyup, IHX is a digital healthcare platform that provides data solutions to hospitals, insurers, and diagnostic labs. 

It uses AI and machine learning to help customers analyze healthcare data and make better decisions. It also offers a digital claims management service.

IHX says it works with over 30,000 hospitals across more than 1,200 locations in India.

Founded in 2008 by VR Govindarajan and Debasish Chakraborty, Perfios focuses on real-time credit decisioning, onboarding automation, analytics, due diligence and monitoring. It serves more than 1,000 financial institutions in the B2B space.

In 2022, Perfios acquired Karza Technologies and FintechLabs Technologies. In 2023, it also acqui-hired Fego.ai, a Chennai-based startup focused on financial insights.

This year, Perfios has already acquired Clari5, a banking fraud detection platform, and CreditNirvana, an AI-based debt recovery platform, before adding IHX to the list.

Perfios now operates in 18 countries and continues to expand globally. Its revenue grew 37% to ₹558 crore in FY24, up from ₹407 crore in FY23.
