OYO is opening new hotels in every 2-3 days in Rajasthan

Hospitality major OYO is adding a new hotel every 2-3 days in Rajasthan and plans to open a back office in the state to support its international business, according to a company official.

 "At the Rising Rajasthan Summit, OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal said that about 1 lakh customers book its hotels every day in India, and a similar number stay in its hotels abroad each day."

"We are opening a new hotel every 2-3 days. We get a lot of business from overseas. We are setting up a back office of overseas business in Rajasthan because we are getting good talents for technical, finance etc," Agarwal said. 

He said this winter season will be the best for tourism in the last 10 years. Agarwal added that after COVID, people want to enjoy life, and the hotel industry has seen 100% year-on-year growth since then.

In August 2024, The Gurugram-based travel tech platform Oyo had raised Rs 1,457 crore (nearly $175 million) in a Series G round from a group of investors including InCred Wealth, J&A Partners,Patient Capital, the family office of Mankind Pharma promoters and ASK Financial Holdings.
