Just days after the departure of its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), ola Electric has witnessed the exit of two more senior executives.
In a regulatory filing, the EV manufacturer confirmed that Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Anshul Khandelwal and Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO) Suvonil Chatterjee have both resigned, effective immediately.
Both executives cited personal reasons in their resignation emails. “It has been an incredible journey. I am grateful for the opportunities to contribute to Ola’s inspiring vision. However, due to personal reasons, I request to be relieved of my duties effective today,” Khandelwal stated.

Leadership Tenures and Background
-Anshul Khandelwal, an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode, served as Ola Electric’s CMO for nearly three years. Before that, he held key roles at Ola Consumer and its now-defunct food delivery arm, Foodpanda. With over 15 years of experience, Khandelwal has also worked with startups like upgrad and bluestone.
- Suvonil Chatterjee joined Ola Electric as Chief Product Officer in 2021 and was later promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in November 2022. Previously, he served as CTO at Ola Consumer and initially joined the company in 2017 as the Head of Design.
Challenges at Ola Electric
These resignations follow the recent exit of CHRO Balachandar N, who left after nearly four years with the company. The departures come at a critical time for Ola Electric, as the company faces increasing consumer complaints about its after-sales service and scrutiny from the Central Consumer Protection Authority.
Despite these challenges, Ola Electric recently opened 3,200 new stores, bringing its total showroom and service center count to 4,000. However, the company’s stock reflected market concerns, closing 3.68% lower at INR 90.09 on the BSE on December 27.
