IPO-bound Urban Company launches one-day home makeover service Revamp

Urban Company has introduced Revamp, a new home improvement sub-brand that provides quick, one-day makeovers for small spaces. 

The service is now available in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

“With this launch, we’re streamlining the home renovation process by making it easier and reliable. We aim to help people by combining aesthetics, speed and service under one experience,” said Abhiraj Singh Bhal, cofounder and chief executive of Urban Company.

About Urban Company

Founded in 2014 by Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Raghav Chandra and Varun Khaitan, the Gurugram-based Urban Company operates in two main categories: beauty and wellness, which includes salon, spa, and laser hair reduction services, and home repairs and maintenance, covering plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, cleaning, pest control, appliance repair, and painting. 

On April 28, the company filed a draft red herring prospectus for a Rs 1,900-crore IPO, with a primary issue of Rs 429 crore, trimmed from the originally planned Rs 3,000 crore.

In FY25, Urban Company’s operating revenue rose 38% to Rs 1,144 crore, and the Gurgaon-based platform returned to profitability with a net profit of Rs 240 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 93 crore in FY24, aided by a Rs 211 crore deferred tax credit. Even on a pre-tax basis, the company reported a profit of Rs 28 crore.
