Indofast Energy Partners With Green Tiger Mobility To Modify Petrol Scooters To EV

Indofast Energy and Green Tiger Mobility announced a partnership on Friday to help India shift to electric mobility.

Their goal is to offer an affordable, eco-friendly retrofit solution for over 300 million petrol two-wheelers in India. This will allow riders to convert their existing scooters to electric using Green Tiger Mobility’s ARAI-approved conversion kits.

After the conversion, riders can use Indofast Energy’s battery-swapping network, removing concerns about limited range and long charging times.

The retrofit is available for the top 11 best-selling scooter models from Hero (Maestro & Pleasure), Honda (Activa, Aviator, Dio and Cliq), Suzuki (Access & Swish), TVS (jupiter & Wego) and Yamaha (Fascino).

“Our retrofit solution, powered by Indofast’s swappable batteries bridges the gap between sustainability and practicality—giving people an easy way to embrace electric without replacing their trusted rides,” said Ashish Dokania, Founder, Green Tiger Mobility.

Currently, the service is available in Bangalore, with plans to expand to Delhi NCR by May. 

Over the next 12-15 months, it will be available across the country, starting with delivery drivers and then expanding to the general public.
