Heritage Foods acquires 51% stake in dessert brand Get-A-Way

Hyderabad-based dairy company Heritage Foods announced that its board has approved the acquisition of a 51% controlling stake in Peanutbutter and Jelly Pvt. Ltd, the parent company of D2C dessert brand Get-A-Way, for ₹9 crore.

Heritage Foods will sign a share purchase agreement with Sky Gate Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, which currently holds the 51% stake being acquired, and enter into a definitive agreement with Peanut Butter and Jelly Pvt. Ltd and its promoters. The acquisition is expected to be completed within 45 days.

The deal also gives Heritage Foods the option to acquire an additional 20% stake from the promoters by March 2026 at a mutually agreed valuation.

“The strategic investment marks an important milestone in Heritage Foods’ roadmap of expanding its presence in the fast-growing ice cream and healthy dessert categories. It gives the company a strong foothold in the super-premium, functional, and indulgence-balanced segment — anchored on high-protein, no-added-sugar, and health-focused product innovation,” the company stated in a release.

Founded in 2018 by siblings duo of Jash and Pashmi, and their mother Jimmy Shah, Get-A-Way is a guilt-free dessert brand that offers high-protein, no-added-sugar ice creams, Keto desserts, vegan ice pops, low-calorie kulfis, and other healthy treats. Its products are available through e-commerce, q-commerce platforms, and retail chain stores.

The startup claims to be EBITDA neutral and on track to double its revenue in FY26, though it hasn’t disclosed specific figures. It also says it processes over 8,000 orders daily across 35+ cities.

In a filing with the exchanges, Heritage Foods reported that Get-A-Way’s turnover rose from ₹7.9 crore in FY23 to ₹14.8 crore in FY24, and further to ₹18.1 crore in FY25.
