Venture capital firm GSV Ventures has brought on Abhishek Mishra, an executive from its IPO-bound portfolio company PhysicsWallah, as a partner.
In a LinkedIn post, GSV said Mishra will oversee its investments in both the US and India.

“We are thrilled to announce that Abhishek Mishra has joined GSV Ventures as our partner based in India. We have known and admired Abhishek since our first interactions with him in 2022 when he was at GSV’s leading portfolio company PhysicsWallah,” the post read.
Mishra has been with PhysicsWallah since January 2021 and is currently the chief strategy officer at the Noida-based edtech company.
Before this, he led finance operations at fintech unicorn slice. An alumnus of IIT Varanasi, he has also worked with the Tata Group.
Established in 2016, GSV Ventures is a San Francisco-based investment firm that backs tech startups, mainly in education and digital learning. Its portfolio includes big names like Coursera, Class Dojo, Degreed, Outlier and MasterClass.
This update comes as edtech unicorn PhysicsWallah, one of GSV’s portfolio companies, reportedly filed for a Rs 4,600 crore IPO through a confidential route with SEBI last month.
