flipkart Group has announced two senior appointments: Vipin Kapooria as Vice President of Business Finance and Yogita Shanbhag as Vice President of Human Resources.
The company said these appointments are aimed at strengthening its leadership and building long-term organizational capability.
Kapooria has returned to Flipkart and will lead business finance across all categories. He will work with teams on financial discipline, operations, and growth planning.

A chartered accountant, Kapooria has over 19 years of experience. He has previously held leadership roles at Flipkart, OYO, Yum! Brands, and Blinkit, where he was the Chief Financial Officer.
“It is great to return to Flipkart at a time when the company is scaling its businesses,” Kapooria said. He added that he would work with leadership teams to support growth priorities, strengthen business partnerships and financial performance.
Shanbhag has been appointed Vice President of Human Resources. She will lead HR for the OneTech Business Unit, which supports Flipkart’s technology operations.
She has more than 20 years of experience, including roles at Juniper Networks and Wipro. At Juniper, she helped expand India operations into a global center.
“As organisations scale, building leadership, culture and people systems becomes important,” Shanbhag said. She said her focus would be on strengthening people practices that support execution, collaboration and compliance.
Seema Nair, Flipkart’s Chief Human Resources Officer, said that strong leadership, company culture, and good systems are essential for long-term growth.
“Vipin and Yogita bring experience that bolsters our financial and people foundation,” Nair said. She said the appointments follow other leadership additions made in recent months.
Flipkart Group runs digital commerce businesses like Flipkart, myntra, Flipkart Wholesale, Cleartrip, and super.money. It was founded in 2007.
The platform has over 500 million registered users and more than 1.4 million sellers. It offers over 150 million products across more than 80 categories.
