Evera Cabs To Acquire 1,000 BluSmart Evs To Expand Airport Operations

Evera Cabs, run by Prakriti Mobility, is quickly growing in the electric cab market by taking over a large part of blusmart’s fleet.

After BluSmart stopped services in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, Evera has already taken in 220 EV cabs and plans to add 180 more soon. The company aims to acquire up to 1,000 BluSmart cabs as part of its plan to expand airport operations in electric mobility.

Evera plans to take back the vehicles through its lenders as part of a phased strategy to boost operations, especially around Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Commenting on this move, Evera’s CEO and Co-Founder, Nimish Trivedi, said, “What we’re executing is not just a scale-up, it’s a realignment of the electric mobility narrative in India. As key players recalibrate, Evera is stepping forward with clear intent, absorbing proven EV assets and trusted drivers to ensure uninterrupted service across key routes. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, Evera is committed to providing zero-cancellation, surge-free rides, delivering a seamless, reliable, and affordable electric mobility experience."

"We’re building a stronger, smarter, and more resilient network for the future. Beyond continuity, our strategy propels leadership, speed, and sets a new benchmark in clean, premium urban transport. Our commitment is to ensure zero disruption for commuters and to elevate their experience through seamless service, operational depth, and an uncompromising focus on sustainability," he added.

This move gives a fresh boost to BluSmart, which had been in talks with Uber to use its fleet. However, a Mint report said Uber backed out, citing high prices and not factoring in how much the EVs had depreciated.

Earlier, Gensol Engineering—founded by BluSmart’s co-founder Anmol Jaggi and his brother—was in talks with Chennai’s Refex Group to lease 3,000 EVs, but that deal also fell through. Meanwhile, BluSmart drivers have protested in Delhi, demanding unpaid wages and new job options.
