Dunzo Cofounder Kabeer Biswas To Quit Flipkart Minutes

Kabeer Biswas, cofounder of hyperlocal delivery startup Dunzo, has resigned from his role as Vice President of flipkart’s quick commerce platform, Minutes, less than a year after joining the company.

Biswas joined Flipkart Datalabs earlier this year after Dunzo shut down operations. The company is currently undergoing insolvency proceedings.

Kunal Gupta, Vice President at Flipkart, will now take over Biswas’s role at Flipkart Minutes.

“Kabeer Biswas, vice president, Flipkart Minutes has decided to move on from the company to pursue other opportunities. He has contributed notably to the growth of Flipkart Minutes and strengthening of customer experience,” the ecommerce giant said in a statement. 

While Biswas’s next move remains uncertain, sources suggest he may explore opportunities in quick commerce and could join one of the leading rapid delivery companies. However, nothing has been finalised yet.

Flipkart, which recently secured approval from a Singapore court to shift its base back to India, is preparing for an IPO on the Indian stock market next year. The company entered the quick commerce space with the launch of Flipkart Minutes in August last year.

Flipkart entered the quick commerce segment later than its rivals and now competes with Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto. Meanwhile, BigBasket, JioMart, and Amazon are also eyeing a share of this fast-growing market.
